Password Recovery Procedure for the Catalyst 2600, 3000, 3100, and 3200 Switches

Step 1: Press the SysReq button on the switch (next to the Reset button).

    Caution: When you clear nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM), the password is cleared but all configuration parameters are also reset to 
    their default values. This means losing all options previously configured on the switch.

Step 2: Move the arrow key to clear NVRAM.

Step 3: Press Return.

The system reboots and no password is required.
