Supervisor engines

Both, the Cisco7603 and the Cisco7603-S router have three horizontal slots being numbered from top to bottom.
While slot 1 is reserved for the supervisor engine, slot 2 can contain an optional redundant supervisor engine.
When installing a redundant supervisor engine, both supervisor engines must be identical.
