The "optional" PFC on the Supervisor 1A may not be added as a FRU - it must be ordered that way from the factory. Only the MSFC is truly modular - PFC addition to the Supervisor 1A requires a trade-in.<br/>
Sup2 units with bootrom v7.1(1) or later and 12.1(8a)EX (Native) software may use flash disks. Sup2 units shipped prior to January 2001 shipped with 16Mb default onboard flash. 32Mb requires 6.1(3) bootrom's.<br/>
If doing DFC's on the WS-X65xx or WS-68xx linecards, 256Mb DRAM on the SUP2 is required.<br/>
